HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem No. 09 - Approval of Commercial and Payroll Disbursements Page 1 Consent Calendar City of San Bernardino Request for Council Action Date: February 19, 2020 To: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members From: Teri Ledoux, City Manager By: Paul Espinoza, Finance Director Subject: Approval of Commercial and Payroll Disbursements Recommendation It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California approve the commercial and payroll disbursements for January 2020. Background Completed commercial and payroll disbursement registers are submitted to the Mayor and City Council for approval. This happens on a regular basis, typically every meeting for the most recently completed disbursement registers. The detailed warrant registers are available on the City’s website and are updated weekly by the Finance Department. The registers may be accessed by copying the following link into an internet browser: <http://sbcity.org/cityhall/finance/warrant_register.asp>. Discussion Gross Payroll Bi-Weekly for January 23, 2020 $2,224,532.00 Total Payroll Demands: $2,224,532.00 The following check registers are being presented for approval: January 16, 2020 2019/20 (Register #30) $ 1,558,713.12 January 23, 2020 2019/20 (Register #31) 1,745,995.73 January 30, 2020 2019/20 (Register #32) 1,793,943.75 Total commercial check demands: $5,098,652.60 The following Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) registers presented for approval: December 23, 2019 2019/20 (Register #860) $ 1,406.71 December 30, 2019 2019/20 (Register #861) 45,288.54 January 09, 2020 2019/20 (Register #862-863) 587,264.24 January 10, 2020 2019/20 (Register #864-865) 549,287.17 January 13, 2020 2019/20 (Register #866) 1,259.08 Total commercial EFT demands: $1,184,505.74 6614 Page 2 2020-2025 Key Strategic Targets and Goals Approval of the noted check and EFT registers for commercial and payroll disbursements align with Key Target No. 1: Financial Stability, by creating a framework for spending decisions. Fiscal Impact Amounts noted in the disbursement registers have no further fiscal impact. Amounts were paid consistent with existing budget authorization and no further budgetary impact is required. Conclusion It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California approve the commercial and payroll disbursements for January 2020.
