Winter Wonderland Presentation – Jim Tickemyer Cynthia Alvarado from the Parks and Recreation Department discussed the upcoming Winter Wonderland event. 6. Violence Intervention Program – Burguan/Stewart Chief Burguan, Capt. Paul Williams and David Stewart, of the California Partnership for Safe Cities provided statistics about the violence in San Bernardino and those involved in it. 10. Chamber of Commerce & Local Elected Officials Announcements Lesley Stevens announced upcoming Chamber of Commerce activities. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda Karmel Roe, San Bernardino, said she’d made code enforcement complaints via GoRequest and had not received any follow-up response. She decried the make-up of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Marijuana and mentioned the Hepatitis A outbreak in San Diego, warning that San Bernardino is vulnerable t a similar outbreak. Robert Porter, San Bernardino, said he had failed to get a permit for a Halloween event because of timing requirements and asked the council for help in order to provide something for the holiday for San Bernardino children. Sandra Ibarra, San Bernardino, discussed several recent park clean-ups said the issue of Item 30 resonated with her because of recent complaints about her own property. Sher also said she had made complaints via GoRequest and requested follow-up. Sandra Owen, San Bernardino, said the trees on her street had been trimmed, except for a palm tree near a transformer, thanked the police department for their response to calls about parties on her street and said she took offense to comments made about the make-up of the Citizens Advisory Committee on Marijuana. Rebecca Dougherty, announced that the Legend of the Arrowhead play would be playing at the Californa Theater on November 25. The event is a fundraiser for to support the survivors of the San Bernardino terrorist incident and also for inner city children. 36.
