STAFF REPORT
Subject
Renewal of agreement between the City of San Bernardino and the County of San
Bernardino Radio Division to provide time and materials maintenance of the City owned
UHF-VHF radios and miscellaneous public safety equipment.
Back ound
On December 9,1993, Council approved purchase of an 800 megahertz radio system for
local government and public safety use. Since that time the County of San Bernardino
Radio Division has provided maintenance for the system. The time and materials
agreement provides for maintenance of City owned UHF-VHF radios, and various public
safety items such as overhead emergency light bars, sirens, and other electrical items
inside Police and Fire response vehicles.
Financial Impact
The total financial impact will amount to $36,000.00.
Recommendation
Adopt resolution approving agreement with the County of San Bernardino Radio
Division for time and materials maintenance of the City owned UHF-VHF radios and
miscellaneous public safety equipment.

PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,000.00 TO THE COUNTY OF
4 SAN BERNARDINO FOR TIME AND MATERIALS MAINTENANCE OF CITY
OWNED RADIOS AND MISCELLANEOUS PUBLIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
6 THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. The Finance director is hereby authorized and directed to issue
8
a purchase order in the amount of$36,000.00 to the County of San Bernardino for
9
time and materials maintenance of city owned radios and miscellaneous equipment
10
11 for the fiscal year 98/99. Such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a
12 purchase order by the Finance Director.
13 SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced purchase
• 14 order is rescinded if it is not executed within sixty (60) days of the passage of this
15 resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was fully adopted by the
17
18 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a meeting
