First of all, the government lied to us about climate change. They did not teach us how modern industrial society would poison the planet because they profited from the status quo. They told us to believe in climate change instead and we would not see the environmental impacts until 2100. More lies. Anyone stupid enough to believe that a 1*C increase in global temperatures, BY ITSELF, will doom this planet is a moron. SO here is what they didn't tell us. Extreme climate change is triggered by positive feed back loops, like a fire that starts with a match. The heat source, the fuel, for extreme global climate change is methane, a common energy source. But methane is also stored in vast quantities of ice crystals on our ocean floors and permafrost regions as long as temperatures stay below freezing. Methane makes up 20% of the carbon equivalent of greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere. For the short term (10 years) Methane is an extremely powerful greenhouse gas. (up to 82 X the potency of CO2). The approximate amount of methane in our atmosphere is 5 GT (Giga-tons). There is at least 300 GT of Methane Hydrate on the Arctic Ocean floor, an estimated 1400 GT of Methane Hydrate in the permafrost in the northern hemisphere, and over 30,000 GT of Methane hydrate on ocean floors globally. Methane hydrate forms in sub zero temperatures under extreme pressures naturally. Methane hydrate melts in above freezing temperatures and releases methane gas into the Biosphere. As a gas, methane has a life span of 12 years as it oxidizes into our biosphere. This process generates large quantities of heat, CO2 and H2O. We are now seeing temperatures approaching 90 F in the Arctic Circle during the summers, rivers flowing into the Arctic reaching 80 F and temperatures exceeding 60 F in parts of the Arctic Ocean. Methane releases and oxidation is now the driving factor in the temperature increases in the Arctic Region. The melting of the Northern Icecap is of course, accelerating the process. CO2 increases in our biosphere triggered global warming and the melting of ice all over the planet. Under that ice is massive Methane Hydrate deposits that became unstable as the Northern Ice cap and permafrost caps melted. The Climate Science community stated a decade ago, that an abrupt 50 GT (50 billion ton) release of Methane should trigger a major global extinction event. The likely point of origin would be the Siberian tundra but the entire permafrost regions of the Northern hemisphere and the Arctic Ocean are becoming unstable. LIGHTNIG STRIKES TRIGGERED THE GLOBAL EXTINCTION EVENT IN APRIL 2016. Over 200 million acres of Tundra have burned in Siberia ad one fire is larger than the state of South Carolina. Vast quantities of Methane have been released into our biosphere. The government has refused to provide honest Methane release totals for the Arctic / Permafrost region since 2011 and Methane Craters the size of small cities are appearing in permafrost regions. Species extinction rates have increased from one a week to over 200 a day. SO what will this mass extinction event look like for this species? There is more than enough Methane Hydrate in the Arctic and permafrost to raise the temperature of the Northern hemisphere by over 30 F for 100 years. Our forests and cities will burn. We will loss our habitat to grow food. AS far as the oceans are concerned, the 50 GT release will be followed with more of the same until the entire stores of Permafrost and Arctic methane is released and oxidized in our biosphere. Dead zones in our oceans will continue to expand and threaten this food source. Lots of people will starve to death. All the ice in the Northern Hemisphere will be gone. Most of our lakes will become anaerobic and sources of Hydrogen Sulfide gas. (A very deadly poison gas). All of the Nuclear power facilities, everyone of them will burn. Not the reactors themselves because the fuel rods will be removed, but all the cooling ponds will burn. 250,000 or 300,000 tons of spent fuel rods, maybe more will burn and atomize radioactive dust. This dust will poison our biosphere for millions of years. Mammals do not do well in a radioactive environment. There should be no survivors. This process should be well on its way by 2020. So let's not sit on our asses and let Wall Street and their puppet government kill us off. It is time to shave the wool of our backs, trade it for a good pair of fangs and learn to hunt in packs. BTW- Industrial hemp could have replaced oil as a source of our oil based synthetics technology in the 1930s. The founders of Marijuana prohibition were corporate competitors of industrial hemp. This swindle represents 30 % of our greenhouse gas emissions. So now we find out that banning Hemp played a tragic role in raising greenhouse gas emissions and killing this planet. I believe hemp prohibition has done enough to this planet and the global population. We can thank Wall Street, this corrupt government and the Drug War Nazis later.
