STAFF REPORT
TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council

DATE: December 4, 1996
RE: Resolution requesting services from County Registrar of
Voters for March 18, 1997, Special Municipal Election.
PAGE: Two
Pursuant to Election Code Section 10002, any city may by resolution
request the County Board of Supervisors to render election-related
services.
For all past municipal elections, the city has contracted with the
Registrar of Voters Office to provide supplies and services. We
have been working with the County Registrar of Voters Office to
prepare for the 1997 Special Municipal Election and need formal
adoption of the attached resolution which will permit the County
Registrar of Voters to furnish the services and supplies which will
be needed.
Recommend approval of the attached resolution.
