Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11/20/96 -- Mayor and Council approved the request for the waiver
of fees for the 1995 YMCA Children' s Christmas Parade.
Recommended motion:
Motion 1 : That the request for a waiver of fees in the amount of $4 , 942 . 05
for conduct of the 1996 YMCA Children' s Christmas Parade,
to be held on December 7 , 1996 , be approved; and that the
departments be compensated through the Area Tax Fund;
or
Motion 2 : That the request for a waiver of fees in the amount of $4 , 942 . 05
for conduct of the 1996 YMCA Children' s Christ as arade,
to be held on December 7 , 1996 , be denied.

The YMCA is holding their 1996 Children's Christmas Parade On December 7, 1996.
They are requesting a waiver of fees for personnel and equipment to assist with the
event. The following costs have been estimated by the departments providing
assistance:
Police $2,933.78
Traffic Engineering $ 780 + $805 refundable barricade deposit
Public Services $423.27
TOTAL $4,942.05

Copies:
On December 7 , 1996, the YMCA of San Bernardino will be having
their Annual Christmas Parade. The event will start at 11 : 00 am
and will continue until 1 : 00 pm. The assembly area for this event
will begin at 6th and E Street . A map of the event is attached.
The Traffic Office is processing the event application and will be
forwarding the package to Risk Management when it is complete.
