STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT
A resolution authorizing an Annual Purchase Order for automotive, heavy truck and heavy
equipment lubricants.
BACKGROUND
Notices inviting bids for FY 99/00 annual purchase of automotive, heavy truck, and heavy
equipment lubricants, Bid No. F- 00 -09, were sent to twenty -one (21) vendors and the San
Bernardino Chamber of Commerce. Two (2) sealed bids were received and opened on
June 23, 1999. POMA Distributing was the lowest and best bidder, and is recommended
for being awarded the annual purchase order for lubricants in FY 99/00.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this purchase order are contained in the Public Services Department„ Fleet Division
Fiscal Year 99/00 Budget.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Mayor and Common Council authorize the Purchasing Manager to
issue an Annual Purchase Order to not exceed $30,000 to POMA Distributing Company for the
purchase of automotive, heavy truck, and heavy equipment lubricants.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AND POMA DISTRIBUTING COMPANY FOR PURCHASE OF
AUTOMOTIVE, HEAVY TRUCK AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT LUBRICANTS TO BE
UTILIZED BY THE FLEET DIVISION OF PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That POMA Distributing Company provides lubricants for automotive,
heavy truck and heavy equipment. Pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Manager is
hereby authorized and directed to issue an Annual Purchase Order to POMA Distributing
Company in the amount not to exceed $30,000 as a result of Bid No. F- 00 -09.
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced is rescinded if a
purchase order is not issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
the day of , 1999, by the following vote, to wit:
