STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT
A resolution authorizing an Annual Purchase Order to Arrow Auto Air and Transmission for
automotive, light and medium duty truck transmission service, repair and overhaul for the City's
fleet.
BACKGROUND
Notices inviting bids for FY 99/00 annual purchase of automotive, light and medium duty trucks
transmission service, repair and overhauls, Bid No. F- 00 -20, were sent to ten (10) vendors and the
San Bernardino Chamber of Commerce. Four (4) bids were received and opened on July 20, 1999.
Bidders were required to bid repair services for the most common transmissions used in our fleet.
The low best bid was submitted by Arrow Auto Air and Transmission, located in San Bernardino.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this purchase order are contained in the Public Services Department, Fleet Division Fiscal
Year 99/00 Budget.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Mayor and Common Council authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue
an Annual Purchase Order to not exceed $30,000 to Arrow Auto Air and Transmission for
automotive, light and medium duty truck transmission service, repair and overhauls.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
AND ARROW AUTO AIR AND TRANSMISSION FOR AUTOMOTIVE, LIGHT AND
MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK TRANSMISSION SERVICE, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL OF
THE CITY'S FLEET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Arrow Auto Air and Transmission provides services, repairs and
overhauls of automotive, light and medium duty truck transmissions. Pursuant to this determination,
the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and directed to issue an Annual Purchase Order to
Arrow Auto Air and Transmission in the amount not to exceed $30,000 as a result of Bid No. F -00-
21).
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced is rescinded if it is not
issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.

REPAIR AND OVERHAUL OF THE CITY'S FLEET
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
