Recommended Motion(s):

MOTION: That the Community Development Commission approve the appointment by the
Chairperson of Judith Valles,Mayor of the City of San Bernardino and Chairperson of
the Community Development Commission,as Agency Administrator of the Economic
Development Agency of the City of San Bernardino at no additional salary or cost.

Appointment and Approval of Agency Administrator
Background
Former Economic Development Agency Administrator Timothy Steinhaus resigned his position last
month.
Judith Valles, as Mayor of the City of San Bernardino and as Chairperson of the Community
Development Commission, has appointed herself as Administrator of the Economic Development
Agency at no additional salary or cost, subject to Commission approval
For several legal and practical reasons, it is important that there be an Agency Administrator
including, but not limited to,the fact that the Agency Administrator sits as a designated director of
the San Bernardino Mobilehome Park Corporation Board pursuant to Section 2.3 of said
Corporation's Bylaws.
Recommendation
Based on the foregoing, it is recommended that the Commission adopt the form motion.
