Description) Finance: 1�' 7, Council Notes: .�/ylgs Agenda Item No. _ CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT SUBJECT: Approval of Plans and Authorization to Advertise for Bids-Widening of Kendall Drive Bridge at Cable Creek Channel Plan No. 9728. BACKGROUND: Plans are now complete and we are ready to advertise for bids for this project. The project will consist of widening the existing bridge on Kendall Drive at Cable Creek Channel (northwest of Pine Ave) to accommodate four lanes of traffic. This widening will match the improvements to the south east and will address traffic concerns in the area. Listed below is the estimated construction costs based on the Engineer's Estimate of construction: Construction Contract $270,845.00 Engineering and Inspection $ 10,000.00 Subtotal $280,845.00 Contingencies (10%) $ 29,155.00 TOTAL ESTIMATED CONST $310,000.00 FINANCIAL EVIPACT: Funding for the cost of the widening of the Kendall Drive Bridge at Cable Creek Channel is found in the 1/2 Cent Sales Tax Fund under Account No. 129-367-5504-7068 in an amount of$398,000.00 RECONEVIENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval of the plan and authorization for the Director of Public Works to begin advertising for bids on the above named project.
