Recommended motion:
That the Council Chamber Americans with Disabilities (ADA)
Improvement Plan be approved and the Director of Facilities
Management be directed to go out for bid.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
On January 22, 1996, an implementation plan was approved to correct
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) deficiencies in the Council
Chamber. The plan was submitted to the State Attorney General ' s Office
for approval . The plan has been approved.
Facilities Management has had construction plans developed for the
Council Chamber work. Due to a change in configuration of the Chamber,
the plans have been altered to accommodate two speakers podiums. These
plans are being submitted for your review. However, due to the
cumbersome nature of the plans, the Facilities Manager will
make a presentation of them at the Council Meeting.
The plans will be available for review in the Facilities Management
Department.
