Recommended motion:
That the plans for cleaning box culverts and catch basins at
various locations, in accordance with Plan No. 9552 , be approved;
and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to
advertise for bids .

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for cleaning box culverts and catch basins at
various locations have been prepared and the project is ready to
be advertised for bids. The project consists , in general , of
cleaning box culverts at 14 intersections, and approximately 190
catch basins.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Maintenance Contract $ 24 , 765
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1499) 2 ,477
Sub-Total $ 27 , 242
Contingencies (15%) ± 4 , 258
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 31 , 500
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
the $85 , 000 allocated under Account No. 001-308-5502 in the
1996/97 Budget for Professional/Contractual services .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
