01-10-94 -- authorization to proceed granted to begin proceedings for the
boundary expansion of Assmt. Dist. 981.
09-19-94 -- Adopted Reso. No. 94-286 preliminarily determination to proceed to
order the amendment and expansion of A.D. No. 981.
10-17-94 -- Adopted Reso. No. 94-330 ordering the amendment and expansion of
the boundaries and ordering the work within Tract No. 14390.
02=06-95 -- Adopted Reso. No. 95-36 setting the date for a public meeting and
a hearing on the confirmation of the costs and the roll on the
cost of proceedings for the boundary expansion of A.D. No. 981.

Recommended motion:
That the public meeting for the expansion of Assessment District No. 981 be
closed, and that the public comments or protests, if any, be held over and the
matter be continued until the public hearing, set for April 3, 1995 at 10:00
a.m. .

STAFF REPORT
This is the time set for the public meeting relative to the costs and proposed
assessment roll on the proceedings for the boundary expansion of Assessment
District No. 981 to include areas within Tract 14390 located in the Randall and
Meridian Avenues area of the city.
No action can be taken on any public comments or property owner protests at this
meeting, and all public comments or protests, if any, should be carried over to
the public hearing scheduled for April 3, 1995.
Notice of this public meeting and of the above public hearing date was given to
the property owner on February 17, 1995. Said notice stated the District
involved, a description of the district, the cost and the assessments involved,
and the dates, times and locations of this meeting and of the public hearing.
The total cost of the proceedings for the expansion of the district is
$2,436.12.
Said sum has been prepaid by the developer/petitioner of the project in the form
of a cash deposit in the amount $ 5,000.00. The remainder of said deposit will
be refunded to said petitioner upon confirmation of these costs.
The attached assessment roll represents each individual parcel 's proportionate
share of the above total cost for all of the parcels within the area of the
expanded district and which will be sharing in the costs incurred by the amended
district. These individual assessments will be paid from the above deposit,
therefore, placement of them onto the property tax bills for collection is not
necessary.
Staff recommends that the meeting be closed, and that the public comments be
held over and the matter be continued until the close of the Public Hearing
scheduled for 10:00 a.m. , at the meeting of April 3, 1995.
