The subdivision adjoins the boundaries of Assessment District No.952, Zone 3, which was formed to maintain landscaping along portions of Northpark Boulevard, East of Little Mountain Drive. The boundaries of the district, as they now exist, splits this Tract, and this action is necessary for proper alignment of the boundaries. No additional area of maintenance is being added to the district, thus by expanding its boundaries, it is anticipated that the assessments for the existing parcels within Zone 3 of the district will be reduced. The signatures affixed to the referenced petition have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent of the area of the property lying within the proposed expanded area liable to be assessed for the proposed maintenance. Since this expansion was not a requirement of the developer, the City will up front the costs of the proceedings, which will be recovered through assessments. Staff recommends that authorization to proceed with the proposed expansion be given. 5-0264 _ LL 10 4 QL to LLI CM 00 z LL LL zi dm XMISM
