Bids for the improvement of Pepper Avenue (west side) ,
south of Mill Street, were opened at 2 : 00 p.m. , Tuesday, 12-13-
94 .
A total of 14 bids were received, ranging from
$134 , 717 . 86 to $196 , 593 . 01 . The low bid of $134 , 717 . 86 is 9 . 6%
under the Engineer' s Estimate of $149 , 040 . 00 .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price:
Construction Contract $ 134 , 717 . 86
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1405) 8 , 500 . 00
Sub-Total $ 143 , 217 . 86
Contingencies (5%) ± 7 , 782 . 14
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 151,000.00
