Description) Motor Vehicles Finance:?/'Z'4/'z�,"_ �ouncil Notes: Agenda Item No. �� CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The 1994/95 Budget provides for the replacement of four (4) 3/4 ton pick up trucks, two (2) for the Animal Control Department and two (2) for the Refuse Division of the Public Services Department. Each of the trucks recommended for replacement have over 100,000 miles and are eight (8) to nine (9) years old. Notices inviting bids for 3/4 ton pick-ups, Bid No. 95-13, were published locally and bid packages were mailed to 31 vendors on the City's equipment bidder's list. As advertised, sealed bids were opened on November 8, 1994 and the results of the acceptable bids are summarized below for Council's review: VENDOR LOCATION BID PRICE Rotolo Chevrolet Fontana $ 65,063.28 Inland Motors Redlands $ 65,757.80 Downey Auto Center Downey $ 67,592.64 Fairview Ford San Bernardino $ 68,093.69 Fairview Ford San Bernardino $ 70,205.59 Center Chevrolet San Bernardino $ 80,588.38 The bid received from Rotolo Chevrolet in Fontana, $ 65,063.28 for four (4) 3/4 ton pick-ups, is the apparent low bidder and meets the required specifications and the needs of each department. Purchasing and Public Services staff have evaluated the bids based on unit cost and conformance to the bid specifications.
