Agenda Item No. 1q CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT SUBJECT Resolution to issue a purchase order to Rey-Crest Roofing for the roof restoration work at the CID Facility. BACKGROUND Staff has prepared specifications and requested public bids on the project to do roof restoration work at the CID facility. On March 16, 1998, five bids were received for the work as specified in project specifications F99-29. The bids were as follows: Rey-Crest Roofing Los Angeles $42,741 Letner Roofing Orange $63,000 Bell Roofing San Bernardino $86,950 Huffman Roofing Riverside $92,427 Cabral Roofing Bell Gardens $94,163 The bids were reviewed by the Facilities Management staff and it was determined that Rey-Crest Roofing was the lowest bidder who fully complied with all the project specifications. FINANCIAL IMPACT These funds came from a reserve account from the Authority for the Handicapped. No City funds are involved. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Council adopt resolution. 00 [pv 1 Resolution No. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF SAN 3 BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER AND SIGN A STANDARD FORM SERVICE AGREEMENT 4 WITH REY-CREST ROOFING FOR ROOF RESTORATION WORK AT THE CID FACILITY, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT 5 DEPARTMENT. 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE 7 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 8 9 SECTION 1. Authorize Rey-Crest Roofing to provide Roof restoration work to the City 10 11 Of San Bernardino for the CID Facility. The Purchasing:Manager is hereby authorized and 12 directed to sign a standard form service agreement and issue a purchase order for$42,741, for roof 13 restoration work at the CID Facility to Rey-Crest Roofing. 14 15 SECTION 2.
