09-03-91 - Authorization granted to proceed with 12 parcels that
benefit the State College and Northwest Redevelopment
Project Areas.
09-16-91 - Transfer of $62, 608 . 00 to Account No. 251-684-53925 , In-
Fill Street Improvements, approved and authorization
granted to proceed under Chapter 12 . 92 of SBMC.
01-20-93 - Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids.

9-93 .Bids for this project were opened at 2 : 00 p.m. , Tuesday, 2-
A total of 9 bids were received, ranging from $22 , 992 . 05 to
$30 , 568 . 39 . The low bid of $22 , 992 . 05 is 3 . 3% below the
Engineer' s Estimate of $23 , 773 . 75 .
Below is the total estimated project cost, based upon the
actual low bid price:
Construction Contract $ 22 , 992 . 05
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. 1452) 8 , 100 . 00
Sub Total $ 31 , 092 . 05
Contingencies (15%) ± 4 , 607 . 95
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 35,700.00
An amount of $62 , 608 . 00 has been allocated for this con-
struction into Account No. 251-684-53925 to complete this work.
This project covers 5 parcels under the 50% cost sharing
program approved in previous actions. The property owners will
pay 1/2 of the costs with the remaining 50% being funded from
bond proceeds that have been transferred into the above
referenced account.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.

1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO SONORA CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR IN-FILL STREET
3 IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF KENDALL DRIVE AND HIGHLAND AVENUE
(STATE ROUTE 30) .

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
5 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS :
6 SECTION 1 . Sonora Construction, Inc. , is the lowest
7 responsible bidder for: In-fill Street Improvements on Portions
8 of Kendall Drive and Highland Avenue (State Route 30) , per Plan
9 No. 8841 . A contract is awarded accordingly to said bidder for
10 the total amount of $22 , 992. 05, but such award shall be effective
11 only upon the contract being fully executed by both parties. All
12 other bids, therefore, are hereby rejected. The Mayor is hereby
13 authorized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the
14 City; a copy of the contract is on file in the office of the City
15 Clerk and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set
16 forth at length.
17 SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
18 tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
19 fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
20 obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
21 oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
22 intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
23 course of conduct of any party.
24 SECTION 3 . This resolution is rescinded if the parties
25 to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
26 Passage of this resolution.

1 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
