That the transfer of $ 46,854 from Park Master Plan (Account # 243-363-57511) to
establish a line item for improvements to 21st Street Parking lot at Perris Hill Park
be approved.

STAFF REPORT
The repair and use of the 21st Street Parking Lot at Perris Hill
Park is essential to the effective operation of the new Aquatics
Center once it is opened. Patrons in the past have either parked
in a short set-back on Highland Avenue or behind the tennis courts
on the park cul-de-sac.
This parking was generally inadequate to serve both the pool and
the tennis patrons as well as other park user. The plunge is
expected to reopen this summer and attendance is anticipated to be
significantly higher than in the past due to the newness of the
facility as well as its water play-park features.
Costs to rehab this parking lot are estimated as follows:
Asphalt re-surfing of parking lot $ 11, 323
Resurface entry road 5, 000
Sidewalk construction 5, 000
560' post and rail around parking lot 14, 000
Re-striping/Design 1, 000
Contingency 10, 531
Total $ 46,854
Funding source is the Park Construction Fund, "Park Master Plan"
Account. The Master Plan is complete making these funds
available.
