ORDINANCE NO. MC-1421

2 ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AMENDING CHAPTER 10.52 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO
3 MUNICIPAL CODE TO UPDATE EXISTING SPEED ZONES CITY WIDE.

5 WHEREAS, the City is required to comply with the California Vehicle Code (CVC)
6 to have posted speed limits on street segments surveyed every seven years
7 WHEREAS, the segments were surveyed in 2009;
8 WHEREAS, an Engineering and Traffic Survey has been completed to justify and
9 update the posted speed limits along 103 street segments in the City;

NOW THEREFORE THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
11 OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
12 SECTION 1. San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 10.52.010 of San Bernardino
13
Municipal Code is amended to read:

15 10.52.010 THIRTY MILES PER HOUR
16 In accordance with and pursuant to the authority of sections 22357, 22358, and 22360,
17 of the California Vehicle Code, the Mayor and Common Council do hereby determine and
18 declare upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that a Prima Facie Speed
19
Limit of Thirty miles per hour shall be established upon the following streets or portions
20
21 thereof in the City:
22 HILL DRIVE between Louise Street and E Street
23 SECTION 2. San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 10.52.020 of San Bernardino
24 Municipal Code is amended to read:
