02-03-92 -- Resolution No. 92-42 adopted authorizing execution of
an Agreement with URS Consultants for engineering
design services .
Recommended motion:
That the plans for installation of a sewer main in Redlands
Boulevard, from Hunts Lane to Club Way, in accordance with Plan No.
8774 , be approved; and that the Director of Public Works/City
Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the installation of a main line sewer in
Redlands Boulevard have been prepared by a consultant and the
project is now ready to bid. The project consists of installing
an 18-inch sewer main.
During the design phase, it was determined that the
installation of a relief sewer line from Hunts Lane to Club Wav
would serve the same needs as the 8-inch line from Club Way to
300 feet east of Gardena Street and also provide an expanded
system to meet the requirements and request of Loma Linda. Loma
Linda has agreed to pay for the oversizing of our sewer line in
order to provide expansion capacity in the future for their
needs . A Co-operative Agreement will be executed prior to award
of the contract for this project.
Below is the total estimated project cost:

TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 145,000
Funds for this construction have been allocated into
Account No. 245-365-57885 in an amount of $200, 000 . Loma Linda' s
share is estimated to be $26 , 000. The upgrade of line size will
allow for future expansion above what is currently allocated and
will provide a relief line for the existing 21-inch sewer.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
