Council Notes: Agenda Item No. CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The 1994/95 Budget provides for the replacement of one(1) 3/4 ton utility truck. The truck recommended for replacement has over 100,000 miles and is used daily as an emergency response vehicle. Notices inviting bids for this truck, Bid No. 95-22, were published locally and bid packages were mailed to 33 vendors on the City's equipment bidder's list. As advertised, sealed bids were opened on April 4, 1995. Only one bid was received from Center Chevrolet in San Bernardino for $28,769.25 for one (1) each 3/4 ton utility truck. This bid meets the required specifications and the needs of the Fire Department. This is the second round of bids solicited on this vehicle. No bids were received on the first round on 2/14/95. Purchasing and Public Services staff evaluated the bid based on unit cost and conformance to the bid specifications. Based on this evaluation staff is recommending that the bid from Center Chevrolet be accepted. .j Pat Mallo Barbara Pachon Director of Public Services Director of Finance
