June, 1994 -- Allocation of $218 , 915 , in 1994/95 CDBG Program
approved.
Recommended Motion:

That the plans for installation of nine (9) additional street
lights on +Base Line Street, from "H" Street to Waterman Avenue,
in accordance with Plan No. 9287 , be approved; and the Director
of Public ;^forks/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for
bids.

STAFF REPORT
Approval of Plans and
Authorization to Advertise for Bids
Nine Additional Street Lights
Base Line Street
Plans for installation of additional street lights on Base Line
Street have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and the
project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project
consists, in general , of installing nine (9) additional street
lights, with 200 watt lamps, between "H" Street and Waterman
Avenue.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 30 , 150
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1408) _ 2 , 850
Sub-Total $ 33 , 000
Contingencies (150) ± 5 , 000
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 38 , 000
All costs incurred for this project will be financed from the
$218 ,915 allocated in the 1994/95 CDBG Program, under Account No.
100-80609 .
Relamping of the existing street lights will be done by City
Forces.
We recommend that the plans be approved, and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
