As you know Baseline Area is planning a Street Faire, on May 1.3, 1995
Ode ho,e to have the kick off ceremony for the tree and lie-itscape program.
As our Councilman, roe wish you to take a lead role in this ceremony.
Can you meet with the Faire Committee to work an details, We would try
to schedule it at your convenience, June Durr, is the Chair, her
schedule is sometimes quite flexible, and she has a real flaire for
public relations.
Lincoln and Riley school students and tea6hers are involved, they will
be doing a poster contest, and then have *ind raising activities' at their
school sites. We will do some "Sun" Advertising that weekend to draw
in people, flyers and a Carnival, to be located on the Gaska property,
in the Smart and Final complex behind Billy T's.
Other non profits are being invited, we already have some confirmations.
WE WOULD LIKE A FAVOR OF YOU ALSO, the temprorary Use Permit, costs $250.00
PLUS, SINCE WE ARE A NCN P--CFIT, We know that the council will many times
or at least has in the past waived that fee for non profits.. .
WOULD YOU PRESENT TO THE COLNCIL FOR US THE WAIVER OF THAT FEE?
I have submitted the plan to the planning department, the carnival is filing
to pay all other fees, he will interact with the police, fire, etc on those
permits.. . . .
Please let us knave as soon as possible.

east of Billy T's one on the west side. Entrance thru the alley on the
west side, exit entrance thru alley ruuining on the west side of the center, two
entrances on Arrowhead.

personnel of the School Police also involved.
All other activities will also be cn pri'mate property.
The carnival will be part of the festivities and also a fund raiser for the
non profit Baseline Area Business Association.
