In 1955, the City of Riverside sold a portion of the property to the State of California for the I-215 Freeway. On November 17, 1959, the City of Riverside sold the remaining property to the City of San Bernardino. Finally, in January, 1970, the State of California condemned an extra portion of the property in question. Both Real Property Staff and staff from the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District reviewed the previous Grant Deed. It was not until review of the Grant Deed by the Title Officer for First American Title Insurance Company that it was discovered that the area condemned in 1970 had not been excepted from the legal description. The Grant Deed has now been amended to except the condemned area. URGENCY The Board of Directors for the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District has already authorized consultants to develop plans to construct additional office and shop facilities on the land and has requested that the Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the newly amended deed be adopted April 17, 1995, in order to avoid delaying their building schedule. 75-0264 04/03/95 2 \"'000 ORANGE l/l rue ` i q ,c.,F-1193E-D 70 st3Ue4rv cx= PROPos ;►,4 NRND IP4465- BI-0 ,ems R9109 zewglllcll!D ley , Ne C Ty W.4 72--.e D6PT; Fox Poe PAR 13 t w o\' { ING 4WAL- 4 Q c.ire 1W _ PAR 12 PM 3732 0) PAR I } PAR II She 2.'test. yr.it 1 I i.'oyiryl tM+tt+KT Z L \ M T Y'~v l•..i1 `/I ACittU.4" I w ANN" OARC« 1 • Z?
