STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
install stop signs at the intersection of 20th Street at Reedy
Avenue. The intersection is currently uncontrolled.
An investigation was completed by the Traffic Engineering
Staff that concluded stop signs for north and southbound traffic
are warranted.
The Traffic Safety Committee evaluated this request at
their March 8 , 1995 , meeting. The Committee concurred with the
findings of the Traffic Engineering Staff and recommended that
stop signs be installed at this intersection for north and
southbound traffic.
A two-way stop sign was previously authorized at 20th
Street and Kenwood Avenue, by Resolution No. 2482 . In order to
achieve consistency, the proposed resolution includes this stop
sign, in order to consolidate all stop signs along 20th Street
under Resolution No. 655 .
We recommend that the installation of stop signs, for
north and southbound traffic at the intersection of 20th Street
and Reedy Avenue, be approved.
