Financial Impact:
The Services contemplated by this designation fall within the agreement for labor
negotiation services that has already been approved and budgeted.
Motion: Adopt the Resolution.
Background:
The resignation of Allen Parker has necessitated that the City designate a new Chief
Negotiator for Employee-Employer relations. The Bankruptcy team has recommended
that Linda Daube be designated as Chief Negotiator until the new City Manager is
appointed so that the negotiations with the Fire Union can continue in a timely fashion.
The City currently has a contract with Ms. Daube that was entered into on September 1,
2013 and amended on April 7, 2014 and July 7, 2014 to increase the total amount of the
agreement to $90,000.00. The services provided by Ms. Daube as Chief Negotiator will
be covered by the existing contract.
