July, 1991 Approval of $150,000.00 funding for trunk sewer in Cajon Blvd. from Cable Creek to Little League Drive. 09-16-91 Transfer of $78,000.00 from Sewer in Cajon to Sewer in "D" Street approved. 02-03-92 Authorization to Execute Agreement for Professional Engineering Design Service for Sewer in Cajon Blvd. Cable Creek Channel to Little League Drive. Recommended motion: 1. That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be Authorized and Directed to advertise for bids in Accordance with Plan No. 8810 for the Installation of a Trunk Sewer in Cajon Blvd. from Cable Creek Channel to Little League Drive. 2. Description) Cajon Trunk Sewer - Cable Creek to Little League Finance: Council Notes: 1. note Anonrla I+om Nn l ll CITY OF SAN BERN' ",DINO - REQUEST Ff-J COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans and specifications have been completed for the installation of a trunk sewer in Cajon Boulevard from Cable Creek to Little League Drive, in accordance with the master plan of sewers. Listed below is the estimated project cost: Construction Contract $761,500.00 Consultant Design Fee (Previously Authorized) $ 29,414.00 Contract Administration & Inspection (W.O. 1966) $ 70,000.00 Subtotal $860,914.00 Contingencies $ 39,086.00 TOTAL ESTIMATED COST $900.000.00 A total of $900,000.00 had been allocated into Account No. 245-365-57731 to fund the design and construction of these improvements. In September of 1991, funds totaling $78,000.00 were transferred .for the construction of a sewer line in "D" Street from 6th to 9th Street . There are sufficient funds in the Sewer Line Construction Fund to replace the transferred amount and provide adequate funding for this project. At the present time, the City is obtaining very competitive bids for pipeline construction and significant savings could be realized by bidding now. Staff recommends approval of the plans and authorization to bid be given. Staff also recommends approval of an additional $78,000.00 from the Sewer Line Construction fund to restore full funding to the project.
