Change W. R. "Bob" Holcomb ' s name to Tom Minor as the Executive
Director to obtain financial assistance under the Federal Civil
Defense Act of 1950, as amended July 5 , 1988 .

1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DISASTER
3 PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR, AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS REPRESENTATIVE
OF EMERGENCY SERVICES TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS FOR
4 THEE PURPOSE OBTAINING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FEDERAL
CIVIL DEFENSE ACT OF 1950, AS AMENDED, EFFECTIVE JULY 5, 1988, AND
5 REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 89-504, 90-327, 91-430 AND 92-352.
6 WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council amended Municipal Code
7 S 2.46.050 by Ordinance No. MC-747, approved on October 17, 1990;
8 and,
9 WHEREAS, such amendment to Municipal Code S 2.46.050
10 designated the Mayor as Executive Director of Emergency Services,
11 the City Administrator as Director of Emergency Services, and the
12 Fire Chief as Assistant Director of Emergency Services, and
13 created the positions of Disaster Preparedness Coordinator; and,
14 WHEREAS, Tom Minor was elected Mayor of the City of San
15 Bernardino in June, 1993;
16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
17 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
18 SECTION 1. The following named individuals are hereby
19 authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of San
20 Bernardino, a public entity established under the laws of the
21 State of California, applications and documents for the purpose of
22 obtaining financial assistance under the Federal Civil Defense Act
23 of 1950, as amended ( 50 U.S.C, app. 2251-2303) :

6 SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective
7 immediately upon passage.
8 SECTION 3. Resolution Nos. 89-504, 91-327, 91-430 and 92-
9 352 are hereby repealed.
10 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
11 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
12 San Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on the
13 day of 1993, by the following vote, to wit:
