FEDERAL FUNDS-NO ACTIONS: I PERSONNEL ACTIONS AGENDA 07/01/96 3 POSITION JUSTIFICATION The following is a justification for appointment to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the July 1, 1996 Council meeting: Landscape Inspector II Justification: In October 1994, one (1) position of Landscape Inspector I was created in the Public Works Department for the various landscape maintenance assessment districts. Since that date, two (2) new districts have been added and three (3) districts have been extended. In addition, two (2) other districts are in the process of being established. One (1) inspector is unable to adequately cover the 24 landscape maintenance districts in order to ensure compliance with the contract specifications. The establishment of a new position of Landscape Inspector II was recommended by the Council Personnel Committee and approved by the Mayor and Common Council on May 6, 1996. All costs incurred for this new position will be financed by the various assessment districts.
