That the plans for installation of catch basins and stout drain, at
Pershing Avenue and 48th Street, in accordance with Plan No. 9514 ,
be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for construction of storm drain improvements at
Pershing Avenue and 48th Street have been prepared, and the
project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project con-
sists, in general , of installing two 7 foot catch basins in
Pershing Avenue, and a 24-inch storm drain to connect to the
existing 42-inch storm drain in Electric Avenue.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 26 , 110
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7048) 4 , 800
Sub-Total $ 30 , 910
Contingencies (15%) ± 4 , 090
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 35, 000
All costs incurred for this project will be financed from
the allocation of $35 , 000 under Account No. 248-368-5504-7048 .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
