Description) Finance: Council Notes: iy 6 -- i 4 STAFF REPORT Attached is a letter from the Community and School Alliance Foundation requesting a waiver of the Temporary Use Permit (TUP) fee connected with the conduct of 2 carnivals being held on February 29 through March 3 ; and October 31 through November 3 , 1996 respectively. The cost for a TUP is $298 . For both events, the cost amounts to $596. 00 The events will be held on the site of Ninth and Waterman Avenue. The applicant agrees to meet all the conditions imposed by the TUP and pay all other applicable fees contained therein. We are a volunteer board, that raises money for innovative projects in the classrooms for students. Ninety-seven percent of our funds go towards this, and the carnival is one of our major fund raisers. CaSA is a 501 (3)(c), non-profit organization, and has been such since 1966.
