Recommended motion: That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with initiating proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code for maintenance of landscaping along portions of Kendall Drive and Pine Avenue, within Tract No. 15642 and along Pine Avenue, between the North line of Tract 15642 and Irvington Avenue. Description) Finance: Council Notes: h Irl CITY OF SAN BERM " RDINO - REQUEST r"1R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT A petition was received by this office requesting the formation of an assessment district for the maintenance of landscaping along Kendall Drive and Pine Avenue within Tract No. 15642 and along Pine Avenue, North of Tract No. 15642 and South of Irvington Avenue and within certain open areas within this subdivision. This petition is the result of the Condition of Approval for Tract No. 15642, to establish a district. The petition was also signed by the owners of two large parcels of vacant land north of the Tract. The signatures on the petition have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent of the area of the property lying within the boundaries of the proposed district. The developer will be required to deposit sufficient funds to finance the estimated costs for establishing the district. Items to be financed by the district are maintenance contract costs, inspection, water, electrical energy and assessment engineering. A map of the proposed district is attached for reference.
