STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
evaluate the intersection of 30th Street and Piramonte Drive for
a 4-way stop. The intersection is currently controlled by a 2-
way stop in the east and west bound direction.
An investigation by the Traffic Engineering Staff con-
cluded that a 4-way stop is warranted at this intersection.
The Traffic Safety Committee evaluated this request at
their meeting of 11-8-95 . The Committee concurred with the
findings of the Traffic Engineering staff and recommended that a
4-way stop be installed at the intersection of 30th Street and
Miramonte Drive.
Also included in the attached resolution are stop signs
that were previously approved on both Miramonte Drive and 30th
Street. Most of these stop signs were approved under Resolution
No. 2482 . Those not installed under Resolution No. 2482 were
installed by Caltrans when the new section of the Crosstown
Freeway was completed. For consistency, the proposed resolution
includes these stop signs.
We recommend that the installation of a 4-way stop be
approved.
