STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
install 4-way stops at the intersections of Richardson Street at
San Bernardino Avenue, and Richardson Street at Victoria Avenue.
Each of these intersections is currently controlled by a 2-way
stop in the north and south bound directions.
An investigation was completed by the Traffic Engineering
staff. The investigation found that a 4-way stop is warranted at
Victoria Avenue and Richardson Street, but it is not warranted at
San Bernardino Avenue at Richardson Street.
The Traffic Safety Committee evaluated this request at
their meeting of 11-8-95 . The Committee concurred with the
findings of the Traffic Engineering staff and recommended that a
4-way stop be installed at the intersection of Richardson Street
at Victoria Avenue.
Also included in the attached resolution are stop signs
that were previously approved on Richardson Street. These stop
signs were installed by the County when the street was under
their jurisdiction. Since these stop signs are warranted, it is
recommended that they be included in Resolution Pdo. 655 .
Vie recommend that the installation of a 4-way stop at
Richardson street and Victoria Avenue be approved.
