Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action:
June, 1995 - Allocation of $89 , 948 , in 1995/96 Community Develop-
ment Block Grant Program, approved.

Recommended Motion:
That the plans for upgrading the lighting system for the Ray
Gutierrez Little League Field, in accordance with Plan No. 9360 ,
be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids.

Approval of Plans and
Authorization to Advertise for Bids
Upgrade Lighting System for
Ray Gutierrez Little League Field
Plans have been prepared for upgrading the lighting system for
the Ray Gutierrez Little League Field, and the project is ready
to be advertised for bids . The project consists, in general, of
removing the existing system and installing a complete new
system,
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 69 , 552
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #5006) 8 , 000
Sub-Total $ 77 ,552
Contingencies (15%) ± 11 , 448
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 89 , 000
An amount of $89 , 948 has been allocated in the 1995/96 Community
Development Block Grant Program, under Account No. 806-86 , to
finance the costs that will be incurred for this project.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids.
