Description) Assessment District No. 1015 -- Pine Avenue Acquisition Finance: Council Notes: 75-0262 Agenda Item No. O CITY OF SAN BERW RDINO - REQUEST FnR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT On 8-7-95, authorization was given to initiate the formation of an Acquisition Assessment District for the construction of New Pine Avenue, between Kendall Drive and Irvington Avenue. The selection of Brown,Diven and Hentschke for Legal Consultant and GFB - Friedrich and Associates for Assessment Engineer were also confirmed at that meeting and on September 5, 1995, Resolution No. 95-328 was adopted, approving the execution of an agreements with the consultants. The agreement with GFB - Friedrich provides for Assessment Engineering services, including preparation of the Engineer's Report, the District Boundary and District Diagram Maps and related tasks, for a fee not to exceed $13,900. On October 16, 1995, various resolutions were adopted relative to the formation of the Assessment District. One of these resolutions was the approval of a reimbursement agreement, which authorizes the City to make progress payments during construction of the work, but prior to the formation of the assessment district, which requires necessary monitoring of construction costs by the Assessment Engineer. This was not part of the original scope of work of the Assessment Engineer, since it had not been decided at that time of execution of the original contract if progress payments would be made. The attached Resolution approves the execution of Addendum No. 1 to the existing agreement, to include review of the progress payment billings. This will result in an increase of $ 1,552 to the existing contract. Staff recommends the approval of this addendum. 5-0264
