07-22-85 - Resolution No. 85-284 adopted establishing Assessment
District No. 956 .
06-24-94 - Resolution No. 94-165 adopted awarding a contract to
Mentone Turf Supply for the low bid price of $21 , 970 . 00 .
11-06-95 - Resolution No. 95-375 adopted determining that the public
necessity and convenience require the formation of a
landscape maintenance district.
Recommended motion:
Adopt resolution.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened on Tuesday, November
21 , 1995 , at 2 : 00 p.m.
A total of 7 bids were received, ranging from $19 , 975 . 00
to $51 , 256 . 18 . The low bid of $19 , 975 . 00 is 19 . 5% below the
Engineer' s Estimate of $24 , 822 . 00 .
Below is the total estimated annual cost, based upon the
actual low bid price:
Maintenance Contract $ 19 ,975 . 00
Incidental Costs (Assessment
Engineering , Inspection, Water,
Administrative Fees & Electricity) 23 , 697 . 00
TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST ------- $ 43 , 672 . 00
Assessment District 1016 is still within the maintenance
period as well as the final actions to form the district. It has
been included in this contract in anticipation of the work being
acquired as of February, 1996 .
All costs incurred will be charged to Accounts No. 254-
626-5506 , 254-627-5506 , and 254-641-5506 , and recovered through
assessments placed on the parcels within these assessment
districts.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low
bidder.
