SAN BERNARDINO REQUESTING THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
3 COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO PERMIT THE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF
4 VOTERS TO RENDER SERVICES TO THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
RELATING TO THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
5 FEBRUARY 2, 2016 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PAY THE INVOICE c

7 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY a

9 SECTION 1. Request for County Services. As authorized by Section
10 0 0 2 of the Elections Code of the State of California, the Mayor and Common Council
lo request that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino permit the County
Registrar of Voters to furnish services and supplies to this City for the General Municipal
11 Election to be held on February 2, 2016. N

SECTION 2. Conduct of Election. Pursuant to Section 2.56.170 of the San ;
13 Bernardino Municipal Code, the General Municipal Election so called shall be conducted by o
all mail ballot with two polling places located as shall be determined by the City Clerk and c
14 the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino. The Board of Supervisors of the
15 County of San Bernardino is hereby requested to issue instructions to the Registrar of Voters N
to take all steps necessary for the holding of the General Municipal Election., The polls for
16 said election shall be open at 7 a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open
17 continuously from that time until 8 p.m. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, c
except as provided in Section 14401 of the California Elections Code.

SECTION 3. Notice of Election. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice LO
19 of the General Municipal Election., which shall contain the following: N
20 A. The time of the election. c
B. The offices to be filled, specifying full or short term. _
21 C. The hours the polls will be open.

22 SECTION 4. Cost of Election. The City of San Bernardino recognizes the
23 additional costs will be incurred by the County by reasons of this election and agrees to
reimburse the County for such costs. _

25 SECTION 6. Prepayment of Invoice to County of San Bernardino. The City Clerk is a
hereby authorized to prepay the invoice received from the County of San Bernardino for the
26 services necessary for conducting the General Municipal Election.

1 SECTION 7. Filing of Resolution. The City Clerk of the City of San Bernardino is
directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Supervisors of the County of
2 San Bernardino and to file a copy of this resolution with the Registrar of Voters.
