Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11-2-87 -- Resolution No. 87-389, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscape maintenance district.
10-5-87 -- Resolution No. 87-365, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 87-389 and 87-365, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 981 (Meridian and Randall
Landscape Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $ 15,367.13 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 981, LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE, MERIDIAN AND
3 RANDALL AVENUE AREA.

5 k'1lf,REAS, by Resolution No. 87-389, the Mayor and Common Council found
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formation
7 of a landscaping maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 87-389, the Mayor and Common Council
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 981 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Meridian Aventic
12 and Randall Avenue pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San
13 Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
14
15 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-365, the Mayor and Common Council declared
16 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be
17 benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
18
19 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 87-365 declared that an annual assessment
20 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
21 landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $15,367.13 which
24 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of
25 land within Assessment District No. 981 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

4 Sf!'TION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
5 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land
6 within Assessment District No. 981 are correctly set forth on Assessment
7 Roll No. 981 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" '+iid
8 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

10 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
11 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
12 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
13 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
14 with all other property taxes.
