Synopsis of Previous Council action:
7-1-85 --- Resolution No. 85-235, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity requirtA
the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
6-3-85 --- Resolution No. 85-197, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance
of said landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code ,:nd
Resolutions No. 85-235 and 85-197, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 968 (Airport Drive
Landscape Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $ 6,647.34 and is submitted to your Honorable Budy
for action as required.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 ASSESSMENT
3 ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 968, LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE, AIRPORT DRIVE
BETWEEN COMMERCENTER EAST AND COMMERCENTER WEST.

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-235, the Mayor and Common Council f .:end
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formation
7 of a landscaping maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 85-235, the Mayor and Common Council
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 968 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Airport Drive
12 between Commercenter East and Commercenter West pursuant to the provisions
13 of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code; and
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-197, the Mayor and Common Council declared
15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be
16 benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
17
18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 85-197 declared that an annual assessment
19 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
20 landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
21 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $6,647.34 wh;(-h
22 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of
23 land within Assessment District No. 968 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY ON
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SvrTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
4
mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land
5
within Assessment District No. 968 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll
6
No. 968 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" and attachod
7
hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
8
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
10 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
11 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
12 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together with
13 all other property taxes.
