Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11-8-84 --- Resolution No. 84-448, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council ,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
8-20-84 --- Resolution No. 84-335, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council, ;
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code a»d
Resolutions No. 84-448 and 84-335, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 959 (Shandin Hills Area
Landscaping Maint. Distr.) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $ 38.057.10 and is submitted to your Honorable
Body for action as required.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 AS-
SESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 959, LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCF,,
3 PORTIONS OF KENDALL DRIVE, SHANDIN HILLS DRIVE, "F" STREET, AND LITTLE
4 MOUNTAIN DRIVE (SHANDIN HILLS AREA) .
5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 84-448, the Mayor and Common Council found
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formation
7 of a landscaping construction and maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 84-448, the Mayor and Common Council
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 959 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the Shandin Hills Area
12
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino City Munic-
ipal Code; and
13
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 84-335 the Mayor and Common Council declared
15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be
16 benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
17
18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 84-335 declared that an annual assessment
19 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
20 landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
21 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $35,246.17 for
22 Zone 1, $2,810.93 for Zone 2, or $38,057.10 for the entire District which
23 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of
24 land within Assessment District No. 959 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
5 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of I ;iid
6 within Assessment District No. 959 are correctly set forth on Assessment
7 Roll No. 959 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" ,;rld
8 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
10 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
11 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments he
12 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
13 with all other property taxes.
