Synopsis of Previous Council action:
02-04-91 -- Resolution No. 91-40, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity
required the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
12-10-90 -- Resolution No. 90-481, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council ,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping,.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code .i,ld
Resolutions No. 91-40 and 90-481, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 1001 (Pennsylvania aiid
Birch Area Landscaping Maint. Distr. ) has been prepared and is attached to the
Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $ 791.10 and is submitted to your Honorable Body for
action as required.

3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1001 . LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE, IN
PENNSYLVANIA AND BIRCH AREA.

5 hHEREAS, by Resolution No. 91-40, the Mayor and Common Council found
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formal ' li
7 of a landscaping maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 91-40, the Mayor and Common Coui . it
10 farmed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 1001 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Pennsylva!,ia
12 Avenue and Birch Street pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the
13 San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 90-481, the Mayor and Common Council declared
15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will ')o
16 benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
17
18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No.90-481 declared that an annual assess.—lit
19 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
20 landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
21 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $791.10 which
22 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels ()C
23 land within Assessment District No. 1001 for the fiscal year 1993-94,

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

Sl :'TION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
5 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of ' ml
6 within Assessment District No. 1001 are correctly set forth on Assessment
7 Roll No. 1001 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" ul
8 altached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of ' '<is
10 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
11 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessment ?}e
12 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
13 with all other property taxes.
