Synopsis of Previous Council action:
7-17-89 -- Resolution No. 89-279, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity
required the formation of a landscaping and sewer lift station
maintenance district.
6-19-89 -- Resolution No. 89-215, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping
and sewer lift station.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT

As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code acid
Resolutions No. 89-279 and 89-215, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 989 (Mill and Macy Area
Landscaping and Sewer Lift Station Maintenance District has been prepared and is
attached to the Resolution.
I The roll for 1993-94 totals $7,928.96 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 989, LANDSCAPING AND SEWER LIFT N >N
3 MAINTENANCE, MILL AND MACY AREA.

5 kAEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-279, the Mayor and Common Council found
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formali: n
7 of a landscaping and sewer lift station maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 89-279, the Mayor and Common Coun,:il
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 989 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping and sewer lift station maintenance in e11e
12 ac-ea of Mill and Macy Streets pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of
13 the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
14
15 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-215, the Mayor and Common Council declared
16 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will e
17 benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping and sewer lift station; and
18
19 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 89-215 declared that an annual assessmt,nl
20 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
21 landscaping and sewer lift station maintenance and the administration there-
22 of; and

1 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $7,928.96 whi,�h

2 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of
3 land within Assessment District No. 989 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

5 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

8 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
9 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of I- id
10 within Assessment District No. 989 are correctly set. forth on Assessment
11 Roll No. 989 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" !ei
12 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

14 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
15 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
16 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments Le
17 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
18 with all other property taxes.
