Synopsis of Previous Council action:
6-19-89 -- Resolution No. 89-214, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council ,
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity
required the formation of a landscaping construction and
maintence district.
5-15-89 -- Resolution No. 89-143, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance of
said landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code rid
Resolutions No. 89-214, and 89-143, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 986 (Rialto Avenue and Mnuy
Street Landscaping Maint. Distr. ) has been prepared and is attached to the
Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $20,922.62 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 986, LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE, RIALT(' I)

6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the forme' ' )n
7 of a landscaping maintenance district; and

9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 89-214, the Mayor and Common CouiwiI
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 986 for the
11 purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Rialto Avenue Ild
12 M,icy Street pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino
13 City Municipal Code; and
14
15 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-143, the Mayor and Common Council de-
16 clared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district. .<iil
17 be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and
18
19 WHEREAS, said Resolution No.89-143 declared that an annual assessm(•iit
20 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
21 landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $20,922.62 which
24 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels (,L
25 land within Assessment District No. 986 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OL,
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

4 SE: 'TION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
5 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of lalid
6 %ithin Assessment District No. 986 are correctly set forth on Assessment
7 Roll No. 986 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" _iid
8 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

10 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
11 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
12 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments he
13 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
14 with all other property taxes.
