Distr. ) Date: June 14, 1993 Synopsis of Previous Council action: 05-15-81 -- Resolution No. 81-235, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council, found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required the formation of a landscaping construction and maintenance district. 01-19-81 -- Resolution No. 81-33, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council, declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance of said landscaping. 07-20-92 -- Resolution No. 92-265, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council, expanded the scope of the District and created a Sub-Zone to be assessed the cost of landscape maintenance therein. J (f) W Q o � O c r,. • t� ��i3�3a��`„3 � � 3.•if�r4 ags�s.`ssaE;.g` J �^ l3o3Sto���aB`eSo i 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 952, LANDSCAPING CONSTRUCTION 3 AND MAINTENANCE, STATE COLLEGE PARKWAY (UNIVERSITY PARKWAY) AREA. 4 5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-235, the Mayor and Common Council .id 6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formation 7 of a landscaping construction and maintenance district; and 8 9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 81-235, the Mayor and Common Council 10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 952 for the 11 purpose of providing landscaping construction and maintenance in the State 12 College Parkway Area pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the S,,n 13 }iornardino City Municipal Code; and 14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-33, the Mayor and Common Council declaittd 15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be 16 benefited by the construction and maintenance of said landscaping; and 17 18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 81-33 declared that an annual assessment 19 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for !;,, ;(I(I 20 landscaping construction and maintenance and the administration thereof; and 21 WHEREAS, the payments on the construction portion of the district 'A; re 22 spread over a five (5) year period and the last payment thereon was made on 23 the 1987-88 assessment roll, therefore all assessment rolls hereafter „je 24 prepared only for the maintenance and administration of the landscaping; and 25 26 27 28 06/14/93 RESOLUTION AP➢^V. 1993 ASSES. ROLL AD952 1 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 92-265, the Mayor and Common Council declart,d 2 that the public interest and necessity required the amendment of the District 3 by expanding the scope thereof to include maintenance of landscaping of addi- 4 tional territory in the District and creating a Sub-Zone to be assessed the 5 cost of said maintenance; and 6 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $60,178.73 for 7 Zone 1, $77,443.95 for Zone 2 including Sub-Zone 2A, and $1,260.57 for Z!;Ile 8 3, or $138,883.25 for the entire District, which sets forth the individual 9 assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of land within Assessil,'Ilt- 10 District No. 952 for the fiscal year 1993-94, 11 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 12 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 13 14 15 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter- 16 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of la»d 17 within Assessment District No. 952 are correctly set forth on Assessment 18 Roll No. 952 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" ,;yid 19 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments. 20 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of fiis 21 Rvr .olution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the 22 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be 23 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together 24 with all other property taxes. 25 26 27 28 06/14/93 2 ' RESOLUTION APPr 1993 ASSES.
