Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-5-81 -- Resolution No. 81-482, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council ,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity requir(A
the formation of a landscaping construction and maintenance
district.
8-17-81 -- Resolution No. 81-360, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance
of said landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code -,,id
Resolutions No. 81-482 and 81-360, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 951 (Wagonwheel Road Arr-a
Landscaping Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $9,479.53 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1993-94 AS-
SESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 951, LANDSCAPING CONSTRUCTION �%D
3 MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, WAGONWHEEL ROAD AREA.

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-482, the Mayor and Common Council found
6 that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the formation
7 of a landscaping construction and maintenance district; and
8
9 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 81-482, the Mayor and Common Council
10 formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 951 for ' lie
11
}purpose of providing landscaping construction and maintenance in the Wagon-
12
wheel Road Area pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Ber-
13 11ardino Municipal Code; and
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-360, the Mayor and Common Council declared
15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be
16 benefited by the construction and maintenance of said landscaping; and
17
18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 81-360 declared that an annual assessor nt
19 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
20 landscaping construction and maintenance and the administration thereof; and
21 WHEREAS, the payments on the construction portion of the district were
22 spread over a five (5) year period and the last payment thereon was made can
23 the 1987-88 assessment roll, therefore all assessments rolls hereafter are
24 prepared only for the maintenance and administration of the landscaping; and

1 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $8,955.10 for
2 lone 1, $524.43 for Zone 2, or $9,479.53 for the entire District, which sets
3 forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of 1,;Ild
4 %ithin Assessment District No. 951 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
10 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of laird
within Assessment District No. 951 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll
11
12 No. 951 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" and attachWd
13 hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
14 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
15 kf�solution to be transmitted to the office of the Auditor-Controller for the
16 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
17 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
18 with all other property taxes.
