Synopsis of Previous Council action:
05-19-86 -- Resolution No. 86-182, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of s,iid
district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance of
traffic signals.
06-16-86 -- Resolution No. 86-247, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity re
qui.red the formation of a signalization construction assessment
district.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code owid
Resolution Nos. 86-182 and 86-247 which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 973 (University Parkway mrid
Hallmark Parkway Traffic Signalization District) has been prepared and is at
tached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1993-94 totals $8,141,69 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

UNIVERSITY PARKWAY AND HALLMARK PARKWAY.

5 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 86-247, the Mayor and Common Council ; !nd
6 tliat the public interest, convenience and necessity required the formation of
7 a signalization construction district; and
8 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 86-247, the Mayor and Common Council
9 formed and assessment district known as Assessment District No. 973 for the
10 purpose of providing traffic signals in the area of University Parkway and
11 Hallmark Parkway pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of t-tr:- `;an

Bernardino Municipal Code; and
13
14 WHt;REAS, by Resolution No. 86-182, the Mayor and Common Council declared
15 that all the land included within the boundaries of said district will be
16 benefited by the installation of said signals; and
17 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 86-182 declared that an annual assn rur-,it
18 shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding for said
19
traffic signals; and
20
21 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $ 8,141.69 which
22 sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parr I- of
23 land within Assessment District No. 973 for the fiscal year 1993-94;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE c. , OF
2 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
3 SH' rION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and deter-
4 mine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of !,md
5 within Assessment District No. 973 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll
6 No. 973 for the fiscal year 1993-94, designated as Exhibit "A" and att,:::lord
7 bc:reto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of 111is
10 Rcsolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
11 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessmeW ., he
12 placed on the subject 1993-94 property tax bills for collection together
13 with all other property taxes.
