BID SPEC: F-88-07
The proposed purchase is for replacement of three (3) compact pick-up trilck
vehicles, to be utilized in daily operations by the Refuse Department. At the
request of department and in co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent,
appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area
vehicle suppliers. The following is a summary of bids received.

Twenty-eight vendors were solicited, six responded.
Specification as bid have been reviewed with the Director of Public Services and
the Equipment Superintendent who concur, that the bid of Tom Bell Chevrolet meets
specifications and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be
accepted for contract. The amount of $25,920.00 was included in the 1987/88
Budget for this equipment.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO TOM BELL
CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF THREE (3) COMPACT PICK-UP TRUCK
3 VEHICLES TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICES/REFUSE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-88-07.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

7 SECTION 1. Tom Bell Chevrolet is the lowest and best bidder for the
8 furnishing and delivery of Three (3) Compact Pick-up Truck Vehicles in
9 accordance with Bid Specification F-88-07 for the total amount of $24,476.46;
10 pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and
ll directed to issue a purchase order for said pick-up truck vehicles to said
12 lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance
13 of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor
14 are hereby rejected.
