STAFF REPORT
On December 7, 1987, your Honorable Body authorized the execution of a Quitclaim
deed to University Square, a Joint Venture, for two parcels of land, no longer
needed by the City, and more particularly described as Lot 1 of Tract No. 3177 and
Lot 1 of Tract No. 12674.
In exchange , University Square was to convey to the City of San Bernardino, a
certain parcel of land located at the Southeast corner of Kendall Drive and
University Square, for Water Department use, and more particularly described in
exhibit "A" of the attached resolution.
The Board of Water Commissioners unanimously voted to approve the exchange of said
properties, at their regular meeting held on November 17, 1987, and we ,therefore ,
recommend the adoption of the attached resolution.
A Map delineating said parcel of land is attached hereto.

RESOLUTION NO.
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO TO ACCEPT A GRANT DEED FROM
2 UNIVERSITY SQUARE, A JOINT VENTURE, FOR A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF KENDALL DRIVE AND UNIVERSITY PARKWAY.
3 BE IT RESLOVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
4 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
J 5 SECTION ONE : That the City of San Bernardino accept a Grant Deed from
OI University Square, a Joint Venture, for a parcel of land located at the
7 Southeast corner of University Parkway and Kendall Drive, said parcel of
8 land also located in that portion of State Street as vacated by Resolution
9 No. 87-404 of the City of San Bernardino, for Water Department use.
10 SECTION TWO : That said Grant Deed referred to herein, a copy of which
11 is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and is hereby referred to and made a
12 Part hereof as fully as though set out at length herein, is hereby approved.
13 SECTION THREE : That the Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
14 authorized and directed to accept said Grant Deed on behalf of the City of
15 San Bernardino.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
17 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
18 meeting thereof held on the day of 1988, by the
19 following vote, to-wit:

recorded in Book 183 of Maps, pages 35-37, records of said County, as vacated by
Resolution No. 87-404 of the City of San Bernardino, described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerlines of said State Street and Sheridan Road,
as delineated on said map of Tract No. 12674; thence Northerly, along the centerline of
said State Street, a distance of 379.46 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence
Easterly, at right angles, a distance of 40.00 feet; thence Northerly, at right angles, to
the Northerly line of said State Street ; thence Westerly, along said Northerly line, to
it's intersection with the Northerly prolongation of the centerline of said State Street;
thence Southerly, along said centerline, to the True Point of Beginning.
